Viola Pride

Joseph Messick got his Bachelor of Musical Arts - Viola at DePauw University School of Music studying privately with Dr. Nichole Brockmann. At DePauw he also created the DePops String Quartet his senior year which saw performances of Joseph's string quartet arrangements in 2018 and 2019. He is currently pursuing his Masters in Music - Viola Performance and Masters in Art - Nonprofit Leadership at Oklahoma City University studying privately with Dr. Betty Shaohong Yuan. Joseph was awarded the Graduate String Quartet scholarship and is a founding member of OCU's Blue Moon String Quartet.

A prolific performer, Joseph is a member of Mariachi Orgullo de America, Oklahoma Composers Orchestra, Oklahoma Chamber Symphony, Edmond VIBES, OCU's Early Music Ensemble as well as solo performances at various Oklahoma venues.
